Random Pensamientos

Now, it is personal!!!
I haven't use the blog in a while (again) due to my lack of time. Since I became a slave, yet once again of Shoe Zone I have to admit I have no time to be myself anymore, but why do I do this to myself? oh well... because I am part of the system. No kidding, I find myself in a position where as of today I have not too many options. However, lately I being thinking that I should make a change otherwise I will not pursuit my dream... Happiness... Today, I was thinking that I should fill out the paperwork so the Labor Commission of CA get my boss fined for all the irregularities he has going on on his lovely business ( sarcastic ). Well don't get me wrong a job is a job right? and I need the job right? but not for that I should give up my time just like that for free to a person that has no scrupulous. H e doesn't care what takes to make money he only cares of how much money one make!!! Anyways, I shall stop hating this person... What I am going to do is make flyers and finally report him.

On the other hand, I happen to believe that we humans are never happy with what we have. We always want more or we want what we don't have!!!
"Life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans"  right? YES. That is one of the reasons why I like to take pictures. Taking a picture of a person or place will not mean a lot within a day or two, but its means so much after a year for example, it means much more when you happen not to have that person or place close. Then memories come into play making wonderful color maps in your head reviving the moment in which you capture that beautiful smile or a sunrise and thats when you realize that it will never happen again... thats it, if for some reason one doesn't take the time to value those moments because maybe one is busy making future plans or thinking "gosh I have not enough or I don't make not enough to buy..." thats  when the life gets waisted and then we get somebody writing lines about her life is blessed and that she is so selfish for not believing it.
I remember the special I felt when I saw that balloon in my desk full of other cute things. It was February 14, 2009 @ Telvista I never though it meant so much. Today I look at those pictures and I see that those were great times. Thank you to all of you who made it possible!!! Thank you!!! I miss you guys. Its hard to let go but I am sure that you guys will always be a part in my heart <3

Why Not To Be Like Everyone Else

I am an independent person, thinker... I fight for what I believe even when its against my friends or acquaintances (inside joke). I believe that there's some good in people  when sometimes there's none. I believe in my people (Mexicans (in the US)) when my people doesn't even notice. I believe that as a whole we shall all help each other.Sometimes I find myself thinking is it really worth it?
Why should I even try when there is so many people who doesn't even try. People whose interest are in jeopardy not mine. Why should I get involved on other people problems like immigration reform or their labor rights?  I wanna help and all they do its stick to what they feel more comfortable with... I am sure many of the great thinkers of the past would find themselves in a similar situation but they would know what to do. I don't know what to think or what to do when I see that my own people fear to lose their jobs if they ask for fair lunch hours.

The following is harsh and it doesn't apply to all Mexicans. Please do not get offended, consider that I am in a place/situation where I have been turn down by many of us. I am disillusioned. This may help some of you who feel that there is something that we need to do in order to become successful as a whole. Lets fix the things we have grown wrong about our culture, lets rethink about what we want to become in the future. Do we want to be the slave ignorant minority?

It is so funny that Mexicans would never tell you where to find a job, they would never help you find a better place to live...  most Mexicans will be afraid if you seem smarter than them because they are afraid...At work many of them will be jealous if you get a promotion... they won't have gas and will put labels on the food they buy so others does not eat them.
To be continued I need time to meditate...and maybe cry about this situation...

Yahoo answers (my BF)

I am still in shock from what racist people think about Mexicans (I say Mexicans because most of them do not know the difference between a Chileno, Peruano o Nicaranguense) just because we look alike and we speak the same Language  (but not the same dialect).
Anyways, I browsed online "why is people racist?" and I found the following link:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006021505652
If anyone else wants to add anything to that please do so, all I have to say is that people is racist because they FEAR WHAT THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND!
LOVE & PEACE
*THINK GREEN*

I found this when I was trying to get information about the CENSUS

So sad as it is, these people don't have anything to provide to humanity. It's impossible to make them change, even to make them think... I recommend to read through but stop from commenting why?
It's just a waste of time!
Latinos, Mexicans and others reading this blog to fight against the racist people out there we need to educate ourselves!
Remember that brown or white we are still from the same place or same descent and we still live in a different country!
It's proven EDUCATION will open our minds! EDUCATION never forget that!

Call centers strikes back and some other random stuff...

Well, where to start? the las thing i wrote on my las post was the training on the call centers. well let me continue with the "better" part.
yes it gets better.
well after you stay on your training for about 2 -3 weeks ( actually this is kinda fun, it all depends on your trainer).

You only are taught the basic (and by basic i really mean it) stuff and you only learn the theory but not the practice. they say its the easiest thing in the world. and to be honest they sound pretty convincing. well after the training a.k.a. free time you are ready to go to the floor and start taking calls, but before this you have to go make shadow with the other slav.. representatives :D and once you get to the floor you see the happy faces of everybody (no, I'm trying to make it sound good but it's really hard) so let's just say that everybody is happy doing their job. after you lose all hope and you start realizing that nothing is what it seems :( . you go back home and start thinking if they lied to you. One week after you were doing "shadow" you're ready for the big "test" with real/fake customers because they are a really pain in the a** (stupid censorship ¬¬) because they pretend to be a computer (in my case) illiterate, and they tell you, in this test no matter if you're wrong you have to sound confident on whatever you say and you will be fine. well the point/trick here is that although some little stuff you don't know they tell you ( the real/fake customer) that is not true whatever you're telling him/her. and thats when you ask yourself: WTF! i tough this was gonna be a role play where the customer is a computer illiterate!!! but NO!!!! they know (or pretend to know) more than you. although  you failed this test it doesn't matter because you will be taking calls, because they only care about having more slav.. ejem.. representatives :D . once you finish that test, you're able to go home.

So the new week starts and there you are. Ready to the big step (lol) no, not that one i just mean take calls :D. oh.. i forgot about the Quality part but i will resume it as better as i can ok?

well the quality part is about 3 things:

being hypocrite
being hypocrite
being hypocrite

to be honest o thought that there will be more but all the requirements for quality that they ask you for is hypocrisy :D.
Because, you have to sound like if you really care about (when you don't really care) because  why would you care about some random person problems when the first thing they do after you say: "thank you for calling XXXXX (insert whatever company you like here), my name is XXXX how can i help you today?" "i'll be more that happy to assist you" they start yelling at you!!!! so all you have to do to score a good Quality control is to be hypocrite.

continuing with the floor and your first day of job (cause to be in training is not really a job)  they just tell you: ok here, you're gonna use this computer this is the telephone, now take a call.

And there you are waiting and praying (lol) to not receive a call in the whole day, but oh surprise! you get your first call and there's where the nightmare begins....

To be continued...

*the writer of this post declares that he has a writers block and... pretty much it (lol) so i will continue later :D*

i'll see you soon

*last minute edit: i totally forgot what the random stuff was (*the writers slaps himself in the face*)*

Look what I found

"Studies Show Immigration Reform Could Give a Boost to the Economy

By Julissa Treviño 3/12/10 3:00 PM Add to the immigration debate following yesterday’s White House meetings a few recently published studies that could prove to be useful in pushing for comprehensive immigration reform.
One study shows that comprehensive immigration reform could add $1.5 trillion to the country’s GDP over the next 10 years by increasing consumption and investment. Comprehensive immigration reform, here, is defined as a plan that “creates a pathway to legal status for unauthorized immigrants in the United States and establishes flexible limits on permanent and temporary immigration that respond to changes in U.S. labor demand in the future.” According to this Center for American Progress and Immigration Policy Center study, comprehensive reform would also boost wages for both native-born and newly legalized immigrant workers.
But even now, immigration is actually benefiting U.S.-born workers. Based on data from 1994 to 2007, the Economic Policy Institute published a study in February showing immigration raised the wages of U.S.-born workers by 0.4 percent ($3.68 per week), although it lowered the wages of foreign-born workers by 4.6 percent ($33.11 per week).
According to another study by the Immigration Research Initiative at the Fiscal Policy Institute, in 25 of the largest metropolitan areas, immigrants (foreign-born U.S. residents, regardless of immigration status) make up 20 percent of the population and are responsible for 20 percent of economic output. The study found that economic growth and immigration are closely connected and immigrants contribute to the economy proportionally to their population."

Working Laws in the State of Ca

To whom is reading this,
Today is the day I have to stand up for my rights... If you have asked why everything happens to me the real answer is unknown. I have though about it and I have an idea, I am a double minority. I am a female and mexican. Well, what happens is that since the age of 15 I been working for a person/store where my salary is horrible, everyone has bad working conditions, I never get paid for overtime and our lunch and breaks have been never respected. We also get paid under the table to prevent our boss to pay more taxes. Many of my coworkers get pay less  than what the minimum wage is in the State of California. The answer from my boss from all these violation to our rights is that many of them do not have the legal right to work in the United States. However, that should not be an excuse because the law says that it does not matter the employees legal status, these people still have the right to get paid at least the minimum wage and get full and on time lunch and breaks. I have talk to my boss because I know that what he is doing is not the legal thing to do, his answer to everything is that he doesn't want to make things complicated for him and that he does not make enough money to pay everyone  minimum wage and that is too complicated for him to arrange everyone lunch schedule.  Still he has seven working people working for him, these people know what their right are and do not do anything. Reason: Unknown. Although I think they are scared of losing their jobs. I did not say anything before because I did not know my rights and later because I needed this job to support myself I was scared of losing it.
Now, I made my point clear to my boss a least I need 30 min of break when I have to work ten hrs a day (what a hell I am thinking right!) Today, he has to talk to me because my coworkers complained about  my ability to get a 30 min break out side the store when they can not do that. I thought to myself  I have to stand up for my rights and if others do not want to do that I should not let this step over me...
See you later, I have to get ready to go to work!

Police officers!!!

Hello!
I hope everyone had a better day than me!!!
Today I just decided to sit and write about my horrible experience at the police station at 70 West Mission St, San Jose CA 95110.
I am a good resident and as a good resident I got the most common fraud in the United States (Credit Fraud). I decided and forced by my creditors to go to the law, and file a police report. I went there at the beginning of March I spoke to Officer Salis (name was changed) he says to me that I need and statement and/or the  account numbers of the fraud accounts. The first thing that I explained to the Officer is that I just got back from Mexico and all of my statements got stolen and these information was used to change the personal information on these two credit cards. I can't get and statement or account number from these two creditors cause they need me to send a police report first. I told him all I have is my credit report. I think this officer was not very bright at what he was doing and went over the same things all over again, was he not paying attention? Well, you know its a hard case but he was acting like he was making me a favor when that is his job. Since this was the first time I ever visited a police station I agreed to what he said and two days after I came back to the same place with the same officer and apparently he forgot what he told me a few days before. He was laughing when he explained that he did not need the account numbers. Then he asked me if I could get my credit report (!?!?)  I thought to myself really? then I mention to him the big contradiction that he had just made and asked for a better attention... Then he asked me for my phone number and promised to call me back as soon he could talk to a detective. He did called me back to let me know that I could file a police report without a hard copy of my account number and I did not need to take any statements. The only downside to this was that the suspect was not going to be interrogated or arrested. I though to myself that works for now, I need to clear this situation because I don't want to be responsible to pay for things that I did not buy. Since I could not go the next day to finally file the police report in person I went went back yesterday March 12, 2010. Then to my greatest disappointment and after this I still have to  pay taxes and with that these officers job I was mistreated by Officer  Jimmenez (Name was changed). He had the worst body position sitting in a chair that I have ever seen! He looked drunk! He was using his cell phone! and he treated me like if I did not know any better and sent me back home to get my credit report and comeback after noon to speak to officer Salis. I was so frustrated and if my tone of voice was not nice to them it was because I felt mistreated. Finally I came back after noon and got the chance to speak  to Officer Salis and with the samebad  attitude from the officer I was finally able to file a police report...I am going to make a formal complaint about these twp officers, why? Because is their job to help the community, and do it with some respect!
They get pay from our taxes and we need to have better people working for us to make this country a better and stronger country!!!

"Brittanicus says: March 9, 2010 at 12:00 pm
Citizens voters have the absolute empowerment to remove from office all corrupt politicians, Governors, Mayors, Judges and others who have been pandering to the millions of illegal families that have settled in America. In the midterm election THE PEOPLE have an ultimate commitment and duty to identify those incumbents who have used their influence in supporting illegal foreign nationals. Incumbents Sen. Harry Reid should be first to thrown out, followed by majority Speaker Nancy Pelosi, then Sen Chuck Schumer who is recognized as another player to undermine the use of E-Verify, as he tries to substitute it with yet another enforcement tool. ITS ANY SLIMY METHOD TO CUT DOWN ON ENFORCEMENT. Sen. Lindsey Graham is in discussions with President Obama to drag the American people through another expensive AMNESTY. 15 million plus Americans are walking the streets looking for work, while the estimate that upwards of 8 million illegal aliens are–NOT–jobless. THIS IS THE PROGRESSIVE IDEOLOGY OF CORPORATE AND THE OPEN BORDER INSANENESS. MILLIONS OF CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS ARE VISIBLY LIVID AND ARE THREATENING TO IGNORE THE CENSUS COUNT, BECAUSE THE HAVE A NERVE TO ADJUDICATE ILLEGAL ALIENS AS WELL.
Illegal immigration is an epidemic that is costing every state-county-city billions in government entitlements. This issue is like an old gramophone records that keeps repeating itself. Both political parties are to blame, because of their loyalty is to their parties and not to the American people. The money taxpayers spend on supporting welfare for the desperate of other countries, would pay for every Americans health care annually. Our government has lied to us continuously, but we can make an example of those who ignore the people’s interests. READ THE LATEST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION NEWS AT NUMBERSUSA, THE CORRUPTION AT JUDICIAL WATCH. INFORM EVERY STATE POLITICIAN IN YOUR CONSTITUENCY. CALL THE WASHINGTON SWITCHBOARD AT 202-224-3121. INSURE THE YOUR POLITICIANS AID LOG IN YOUR ANGRY COMPLAINTS AND DON’T TAKE–NO–FOR AN ANSWER."

I responded:
"Hello, It is very interesting to read about these kind of opinions that don’t know anything about what illegal immigrants go through. First of all employed immigrants do pay taxes and do not qualify for welfare, unemployment, federal loans and/or food stamps. So, I don’t see where illegal immigrants are taking money out of the country if they don’t qualify to get free services. Illegal Immigrants stimulate the U.S. economy because we pay taxes, go shopping, open stores and we pay tuition to go to college. Most of illegal immigrants go to college which is very expensive for them because they don’t have the same privileges as people who qualify for federal loans. Illegal students get stuck in the limbo because they cannot go forward with their career goals because people just won’t see further. This is a country of opportunities; this country was founded and built by immigrants. Most of illegal immigrants that do have a job when most of Americans citizens don’t is because most of illegal immigrants are willing to do the hardest jobs and low paid jobs to put food on the table for their families. As humans beings all illegal immigrants have the right to look for a better future for their families.

De Call centers, malos pagos y demas, part 1 of 2

To be continued... :D

Illegal Students in the United States

I was looking around on the web and I found the following article:

"LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP)--A student touted as a success by Lexington Community College in its campaign to attract more Hispanic students now says he is stuck in limbo.

Jorge Ivan Garcia who graduated from LCC in May, told the Lexington Herald-Leader that he is in danger of not being able to move on to the University of Kentucky to continue his education because he is an undocumented immigrant.

Garcia met recently with Dr. Philip Greasley, UK's dean of university extension, to see whether he could still get some financial assistance. Garcia said he has no money to pay the $3,011 fall semester tuition.

Undocumented students can't receive federally funded student loans. And Garcia said he received no academic scholarships because LCC officials didn't give him enough guidance so he would know how and When to apply.

"LCC opens the door for a college education," Garcia said. "But it all stops there. There should be some transitional help."

LCC officials say they did their best for Garcia while he studied there. LCC officials say President Jim Kerley helped secure money for Garcia's LCC tuition and called UK officials on his behalf once he graduated.

"We've gone to very great lengths to help Jorge," said Anthony Hartsfield, LCC's director of multicoltural affairs. Hartsfield said he made it clear to Garcia that once he entered UK, his lack of documentation would prevent him from obtaining a federal student loan, and that Garcia would be responsible for securing his own tuition.

UK officials said they would do all they can to help Garcia. The university also hopes to create a protocol to assist those who follow in his footsteps.

I though to myself "WTF" why cutting off someones dreams like that? I pretty sure it was not easy for Mr. Garcia to complete all the requirements to get accepted by the University of Kentucky and I am sure that there is much more people like him that cannot accomplish their dreams for just an absurd stamp on their passports! I understand that we need to have some kind of laws or regulations with people that come to this country illegally because we want to protect ourselves from the bad people. But hello! what kind of delinquent actually cares to get educated?
Undocumented people did broke the law of absurd fees, paperwork and lawyers (lawyers that may charge up to $300 per hour) because they knew no better or because they did not have the money to pay the fees or the lawyers. There is a fact that more than 90 % of undocumented students just broke those laws because they were brought by their parents when they were under age. In most cases parents come to the United States to provide a better future for their offspring. Then, everybody knows that families cannot be separated or else it would not be a family then parents and sometimes single parents decide to bring their kids with them. What these people do not know about is that they are breaking the law or if they know it does not matter because with hard work they will be able to provide their kids with good education and hopefully a better future.
  • I would love to see an Immigrant Reform for good students as soon as possible.
  • I would love to see the United States to be the host for those who still believe in the American Dream.
  • I would love to see the United States Immigrant Reform as fair because I known many people who are legal residents of the United States, and some that were lucky enough to be born in this beloved country that do not want to obey the laws and take advantage of the opportunities for success provided here in the U.S.
*Note that I am a college student, that I may have many grammar errors but from the bottom of my heart I write the truth.
